“Your mind can hold only one thought at a time. You must choose either thoughts of hope, love, and Light, or thoughts of fear and negativity.
Become the dreamers of Thoth. Hold the perfect vision in your mind for yourself, your loved ones, and the world. Let no mortal take that vision from you.
Follow your dreams and never stop believing in yourself. You will become more powerful than individuals who have knowledge, but do not have the courage to realize their dreams.”

Our own personal world and the world at large, is created through our minds. What we think is more powerful in determining the course of our lives than any other single thing. What we think as a collective determines the course of humanity. So how important are the thoughts that run through your mind on a minute-by-minute basis? The answer is VERY! Oftentimes we hear our yoga instructors, friends, loved ones, and other teachers say, “Just clear your mind. Choose your thoughts.” And while these are fantastic directives in principal they are very unattainable requests for most of us living our busy human lives to implement with success.
How then do we begin to change our thoughts, to hold the thoughts that bring us closer to our divinity and allow us the courage to realize our dreams? We do it one step at a time. We begin to bring awareness to the very concept of how powerful our thoughts are (you’re doing it right now by reading this blog!). We begin to understand not with our mind, because yes, conceptually we all understand what those directives mean via the words, but we being to know with spirit. When we access our knowingness through our hearts, we have an “aha!” moment where we know deep in our awareness, in our very cells, that thoughts are power. This is different than the intellectualizing our brain does to “get” the message of the words.
When we connect with the concept of the innate power of thoughts from a place of knowing we can begin to look at the thoughts currently racing through our brains on a daily basis. We begin to notice that the majority of the thoughts looping over and over again aren’t even our own. Or maybe they were are own at one point years, or even lifetimes ago, but they’re so outdated they no longer apply to, or serve, the person we want to be today. If most of the thoughts taking over our minds aren’t even our own, we have to ask ourselves who’s reality are we creating? Do we want someone else’s programming and thoughts steering us towards some reality we did not consciously choose?
To begin to find the space for your own truth, your own thoughts, the magic ingredients from which you want to craft your life you need to begin clearing out all the thoughts and programming that do not belong to you. When you do things that allow you to be in a state of contemplation, of meditation, where you are able to be grounded and consciously let your energy run, you begin to let go of all the thoughts and energy that are not yours. You find your way to the bright inner light inside yourself that has always been there, waiting for you to listen.
